I think we borrow too much from religious—namely Abrahamic—narratives that ‘there is a greater plan’. Therefore we seem to think that things can turn out well even if we don’t try.
I disagree.
The loving husband/father is that way because they try and put in the work. The default father/husband might be an asshole. In much the same way AI’s impact on the world needn’t be good. Heck, most futures might be bad.
We need to put in the work, the effort and make the sacrifice to ensure a positive future.
